use the right temperature
generally, boiling water is desired for herbal teas to extract all the good stuff! however, there are some exceptions (ex. green tea).
steep it covered
keep your cup covered so we can keep all the herbal goodies / oils in!
steep it well
we typically recommend steeping it for 15-20 minutes. the longer the steep, the stronger the extraction!
for decoctions
add 1 tbsp of herbs per cup of water and boil on low for 30-35 min. Pro Tip: to make a really really good decoction, simmer over night in a slow cooker ;)
